Hiya, I’m Delilah. I’m a late 20-something who loves planning life’s big and small celebrations, from weddings to weekend runs and cozy reading nights. I find joy in organizing moments that matter and using planning as a way to bring calm and clarity to the chaos of life.
Welcome to The Delilah Diaries, my little corner of the internet where I’ll be documenting my attempts to plan a wedding, figure out what my running future holds, and yap about my newfound love for reading.
But let’s be real: you can’t plan your whole life.
Believe me, I’ve tried. And according to my therapist, too many checklists are not healthy for the mind. As much as I love planners and calendars, I also know life doesn’t care about my spreadsheets. Things change. Plans fall through. This blog isn’t about trying to control everything. It’s about finding peace in preparation and learning to let go when things don’t go according to plan.
Why would anyone take my advice?
Honestly? Great question. Let me start by saying this blog is mainly for me.
I’m not an influencer. I’m not a professional planner, a fitness coach, or a lifestyle expert. I don’t have perfectly staged photos or a ten-step life optimization system. But I’m the type of person who thinks more clearly when I write things out, finds calm in a checklist, and joy in organizing what’s next. Planning has become a healthy outlet for my anxiety for some time now.
The Delilah Diaries is part diary, part planning archive, and part brain dump of things I’m learning along the way. If it helps someone else plan a wedding, finish a run, or find their next favorite book, amazing. But mostly, I’m doing this to document the kind of life I’m trying to build with purpose and passion. I’m not a guru, just a gal with a wedding to plan and way too many Amazon tabs open.
So, what is this blog about? And what should you expect?
Truthfully, I’m not exactly sure where this blog will take me. I’m figuring things out as I go and using this space to document the process. Some weeks might be all about my Amazon finds or party planning. Other times, I might be sharing a running win, a book that made me emotionally unwell, or my strategy for planning a baby shower. If you're into the occasional ramble from someone just trying to make life feel a little more intentional, you’re in the right place.
A few random things about me, because why not?
If you haven't caught on, I'm planning my own wedding and am actually having fun.
I completed my first marathon in May 2025 and genuinely smiled while doing it.
I could spend hours deep-diving into Fourth Wing theories
